About Tom

Who Is Tom Merolli?

Tom Merolli is a government worker, an activist, and a lifelong resident of Mendon, Massachusetts, who is running for State Senate as a Democrat in the Worcester and Norfolk district. Tom currently serves as the Assistant Treasurer, the Economic Development Chair, and the Democratic Town Committee Chair for Mendon. He is a proud union member.

Tom received his BA in Political Science from Westfield State University. During his studies, he ran an organization to provide food for the local homeless shelter, worked as a field consultant for Elizabeth Warren’s Senate campaign, and worked in the office of U.S. Rep. Richard Neal. He has worked in fundraising for nonprofits in Boston and most recently served as the Mendon Chair for Brian Murray’s campaign for State Representative.

He is an Eagle Scout, and once received a National Award of Merit for saving a fellow scout’s life.

Who is Tom Merolli?

Tom Morelli

Tom Merolli is the 2018 Democratic candidate for Massachusetts Senate in the Worcester & Norfolk district. The district includes 14 towns along the south central border of the state.

He currently serves as Assistant Treasurer of Mendon and Chair of their Economic Development Committee. Tom holds a degree in political science from Westfield State University, a local college, and is proud to have been an Eagle Scout.

What is Tom aiming to accomplish? He sums it up like this: “I’m a young person who has been active in community affairs from an early age. I see the ways in which the interests of the people in my district have been overlooked and ignored for far too long.”
